Boilermakers Field Construction/Repair Apprenticeship
Now that you have arrived at this page we believe that you are interested in becoming a Boilermaker Apprentice or you know someone who may be interested in becoming a Boilermaker Apprentice. If so, then the following basic qualifications must be met:
Basic Qualifications
Applicants shall meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Age — All applicants shall be at least 18 years of age. Applicants are required to submit reliable proof of age.
- Education — Applicants shall be high school graduates or provide proof of equivalent education attainment, such as successful completion of GED. Each applicant shall submit a copy of their high school transcript or official report of GED test results if these documents will verify graduation.

Applicants to enter this program will be selected first on the basis of welding qualifications, and then on the basis of random selection, as set forth in the approved standards and selection procedures of the National Joint Apprenticeship Committee for the trade.
