Classroom Training:
When
scheduled, classroom training sessions are mandatory for apprentices. The
National Joint Board has approved some locals with training centers for a
variety of classroom sessions. In other locals, the classroom training is
provided by state or regional institutions. The majority of the locals send
the apprentices to the National Training Center in Kansas City, KS.

Board approved the establishment of a National Training School. The school is
located at 1017 North 9th Street, Kansas City, KS 66101.
The apprentices that attend
the school receives a minimum of 144 hours of training as required by the
program per year. All skills of the Boilermaker Craft are taught at the
school.*see links to class schedules below

community. Their behavior in public reflects not only on the individual, but
also on the employer and the union. The use of drugs or alcohol, horseplay,
or sexual harassment is not tolerated in the classroom.
