31st Annual Apprentice of the Year Competition 

Hosted by Boilermakers Local 28 - Eastampton, NJ - August 14-15, 2018

The 31st Annual Apprentice of the Year Competition kicked off on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Local 28 in Eastampton, NJ.  Two contestants from each region will compete in this rigorous, two-day competition, and will be tested on four years of apprenticeship studies - both written and practical exams.  This years competitors were:

Great Lakes:

Joshua Slater – Local 169, Allen Park, MI

Matthew Stillson – Local 1, Chicago, IL

 

Northeast:

Joshua Roupe – Local 154, Pittsburgh, PA

Andrew Davis – Local 29, Boston, MA

 

Southeast:

Dwayne Martin – Local 40, Elizabethtown, KY

Michael Estes – Local 83, Kansas City, MO

 

Western States:

Justin Williams – Local 101, Denver, CO

Jason Eubanks – Local 549, Pittsburg, CA

Joshua Slater from Local 169 took first place and Andrew Davis of Local 29 was the runner-up.  The Northeast took home the Team Award.  Congratulations to all who participated
