Class Highlights
 
There will be nine scheduled classes during the conference, with topics ranging from teaching methods, safety, recruitment, LMS, EPRI, and more.  Please take special note of the following two classes:

XD03.04 Operate a Forklift &

EPRI STE Evaluator Audits

We will be performing the XD03.04 Operate a Forklift STE at the conference, along with STE Evaluator Audits.

 

To prepare for this, please have an STE Evaluator administer the XD03.04 written test ahead of the conference.

Instructor Forum

At our last conference, many instructors requested a class for instructors to talk about the teaching methods they use in the shop and in the classroom.  This year's conference will feature an Instructor Forum class.  This class will address these questions:

 

1. What challenges do you face when teaching apprentices? What strategies have you used to overcome these issues?

 

2. How do you help an apprentice that is struggling, either with classroom work or with shop work?

 

3. Is there anything outside of the box that you do in your classroom or shop that you have found to be beneficial when working with apprentices?
